First UTOS Planning Meeting

Posted by Clint on June 28, 2006 in Meetings

So earlier today we had our first planning meeting.  It went rather well.  If you are interested in reading it, you can go here.

What came out of it was a concept I think will be very fun and exciting.  We think it might be advantageous to have 24-36 straight hours of a conference.  This way, those who couldn’t make one part, should be able to make another.  Of course, some will stay for the entire thing.  And because we plan it this way, many people will be able to mainline caffeine from soda/drink vendors.

Discussions ranged from OSCON to local input, and from SIGs to vendors (see the planning wiki) and we seemed to come to a good concensus.  The trick being now to recruit some leadership for this group from the LUGs and businesses.

Next meeting is Wednesday, July 5 on #utos.  Hope to see you all there.

Cheers,

Herlo
